Update (1/4/26): Happy new year Everyone ! We are now in 2026 and soon everybody will be talking about the mid-term elections. By this time in their second term, most POTUS are lame duck, so almost nothing will get done anymore. But I still think there is opportunity to reform the USPTO (where I work) to benefit the whole world and to bring manufacturing jobs back to the USA. Last year, I sent Trump a letter offering to fix the USPTO if he appointed me as Commissioner of Patents and Trump sent me an email (at least the email came from the White House, and it had Trump’s signature) and in it he mentioned his new tariffs and trade deals bringing Trillions of dollars of investment to the USA, and I truly appreciate the email he sent me, thank you!
Now in this new year, I wish to repeat to Trump (or anyone who is reading this page) that my offer still stands! Trump appointed management (except Commissioner of Patents) and they have made many changes to increase number of cases examined and to increase quality at the USPTO but this is not the kind of change that I offered to make and the change I want to make is very badly needed, and if we don’t make that change, China will overtake the USA in technology by 2028 ! So President Trump, do your best to consider making me Commissioner of Patents, what do you have to lose, if you don’t like the changes I propose in the first week on the job, then replace me with someone else !
President Trump, it will take me a year to completely change the USPTO, if you keep me there that long and if you like the changes I make, then consider appointing me to reform the other departments of government, I have ideas to reduce cost and manpower while improving efficiency !
President Trump, look at the opinion polls, people want change and I can help you make good change and improve these numbers before the 2026 election, so you should appoint me Commissioner of Patents today, because I can help you MAGA!
